Racingal.comLogoAs some of you may know, the Fifth Turn NASCAR Fan Guide and Blog (btw – name only!!) is being parked in the garage area for good after three great kickin’ years and will be removed from this site shortly.

The Orlando Sentinel has allowed me the opportunity to write this blog and create a NASCAR Fan Guide for the Daytona races on company time, in between ad building, (yes, I’m a multi-tasker!!)  because they know how much I love NASCAR racing. They supported me for three years and I will be forever grateful to them for allowing me to do what I have a real die-hard passion for. I will hold onto the friends I have come to know via emails, chats, and working personally with the guys upstairs from me (OrlandoSentinel.com) and hope to continue these friendships for many more years to come.

Why is the Fifth Turn being parked? The Orlando Sentinel has recently taken on a huge project within our Production Department and they have asked me to focus 100% percent on ad design.  With myself being a Production Artist in Pre-Press, and in no way involved with the Sports Dept.  -  I understood fully -  It’s now my turn to return the favor to the Orlando Sentinel.

GOOD NEWS, THOUGH!!! I have continued my blog, however, it’s just under another name and different location – and will be be on my own personal time. With that said, the Orlando Sentinel will be transferring all of my content to my new site, so that way you haven’t missed any of my past blogs.

If you enjoyed reading my blogs on the Fifth Turn, then you can continue reading my blog at Racingal.com.  The new blog name is Racingal’s Fan 2 Fan Blog, which simply and directly states how I feel about it…. a race fan writing for the race fan.

I also have a Racingal.com Fan Page on Facebook and, as always, you can still follow me on Twitter under @Racingal. (www.twitter.com/Racingal).  You can still reach me at kpistone@orlandosentinel.com or racingal@rocketmail.com.  Email me at anytime!!

You will see me out at and supporting my local tracks, Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway, and of course, Daytona International Speedway in February and July.

My new goal is to sponsor and have the Racingal.com logo on the #00 Chevy Pro-Truck driven by Whitney Poole out at Orlando Speedworld. Discussions are in the works, so we are hanging by a moment….

I hope you will still continue to follow my blog.  I am a huge race fan, love to talk racing with anyone and love to hear other race fans’ opinions.  I will continue to to bring the great news and information that I have been blogging that, we, the race fan, always looks for… driver appearances, free concerts, rule violations, up-to-the-minute news in NASCAR racing and what’s happening around your track race weekend.

Just remember one thing – I am headstrong and instead of taking on anyone, I will take on anything…..!

Let’s rev’ it up!!
